During this tour, we visit one of the must-see areas of Western Albania, Divjake-Karavasta National Park. The park is a beautiful experience for all nature lovers and birdwatchers! It gathers some fifty thousand birds among the wonderful natural monuments it houses inside. This area is home to Dalmation Pelican as well as the famous Curly Pelican. The lagoon is separated from the Adriatic Sea by a large strip of sand and was formed by the sediments discharged by Shkumbin and Seman rivers. During this tour we will explore the hills of Divjaka with natural forests currently protected by individual owner as well as the National Parks Protection.d (some photos curtesy of https://7toucans.com/)
Technical Info: We reach a very moderate elevation during our walk through the forested hills overlooking the lagoon. We will aim to cover a distance of approximately 14 km for approximately 4 hours including rest stops.
