Saranda and the lost metropolis of Justinianopolis

On this trip, we visit Saranda, Ksamil, and get a glimpse of life in Saranda. This coastal town, normally buzzing during the summer months, falls very quiet during the winters. The expats community here manages to keep the buzz going even on the deepest winter nights. We will connect with the Saranda Expat community at the American Blue Bar on Saturday Night.

SATURDAY - A city tour will take us through the most popular neighborhoods of Saranda. We will cover the main city attractions as well as Ksamil and its surroundings. In the evening we will enjoy a stop at the American Blue Bar, where a special event will take place in our honor.

SUNDAY - We'll enjoy one of the most authentic tours of the area visiting the forgotten theater of Hadrianopolis. After, we will visit an early Byzantine church in the village of Labova, followed by a fabulous lunch in Libohova, and will close our day with a visit to Tekke of Melani, before starting our drive back to Tirana. What to Bring: Walking city and/or hiking shoes as both days we will be active with walks.
