During this tour, we visit one of the must-see areas of Western Albania, Divjake-Karavasta National Park. The park is a beautiful experience for all nature lovers and birdwatchers! It gathers some fifty thousand birds among the wonderful natural monuments it houses inside. Getting a peek at these birds’ natural habitat is a special treat. This area is home to Dalmation Pelican as well as the famous Curly Pelican. The lagoon is separated from the Adriatic Sea by a large strip of sand and was formed by the sediments discharged by Shkumbin and Seman rivers. Divjaka beach is located only 1 km southwest of the park entrance. Its sand, extending across 15 kilometers near the pine forest. Most of the land around the lagune has been turned into agricultural land, but some of the parts remain intact and a pleasure to visit.

Technical Info: We reach no elevation today. The walk is level and mostly inside a forest with partial sun and shade. A distance of approximately 14 km will be covered for a total of 4 hours including rest stops. We will enjoy a boat tour into the lagoon. 

This tour falls under the category "easy" and it is open to all, families and children over 10 years old. The terrain is soft and we will walk around the occasional water puddle which can add to the fun.

We will enjoy a traditional lunch at a small "ma & pa" restaurant offering 'tave peshku' - fish and eel casserole baked in the oven. Lunch is at your own expense. 

What to Bring: Mosquito Repellent, Hiking/walking shoes, wind/rain jacket, light layers, poles if you have them. Sunscreen and Hats become a new necessity in the spring. Please always have with you snacks: dried fruits, nuts, fresh fruit. Must have 1.5 liters of water
