Mt. Dajti RIDGE – Group Hike

This hike falls into the "must" category on the List of Things to Do when living in Tirana. We see Mt. Dajti daily and its nice to make our way to its top and honor all of it's ridge line with our presence. This is a good length hike covering approximately 10 km with an elevation of 760 m and a duration of approximately 7 hours including short breaks. This is a difficult hike due to its length and diversified terrain as well as elevation. We start our hike at Qafe Priske, climbing uphill following the ridge line from the start. We continue along the ridge all the way to the Antenas at Dajti Peak after which we hike downhill towards the Cable Car station to return to Tirana.   

Travel Logistics:  Cable Car Station - > Van will drive us to Qafe Priske - Start Hiking and walk our way back to Dajti Peak - Hike down to Fushe Dajt / Cable Car Top Station - Ride the cable car down to Tirana. 

We will meet at Cable Car station in Tirana & a van which will take us to Qafe Priske. Our trail starts at Qafe Priske. After completing the ridge we will return to Tirana via cable car & drive back to Tirana with our cars or taxis whichever way we arrived at the  Lower Station in the morning. 

Please bring picnic lunch - we will have lunch at the ridge. We will possibly stop for a beer at the end at Fushe Dajt / Dajti Ekspres Bar if time permits.

What to Bring: Hiking shoes are a must!! A wind jacket, sunscreen, hat, poles if you have them. Please also have with you some snacks: dried fruits, nuts, fresh fruit.as well as your full lunch. This will be a long day!!  Must have 2 liters of water with you!
