Albanian Post

The Albanian Post is the biggest trading company operating in both postal and financial service markets in Albania, with 550 offices all over the country, they service nationally and internationally; letters, small packs, coli posts, but you can also get payments and money transfers done, as well as other financial services that will be listed down here.

Internal Express Postal Service of the Albanian Post offers fast postal services within the city or between cities at a set fee, the post is delivered within 2 hours in the same city and 24 hours in other cities.

Universal Postal Services

Letters: written communication, sealed in a rectangular envelope, where you have written the recipient address on the right front and the address of the sender on the left front. Letters are accepted with a weight of up to 2 kg for both inside and outside of the country.
Small Packs: small objects up to 2 kg, carefully packaged in appropriate packaging for the object; banknotes are not allowed.
Postal Cards: thin cardboard or 90×140 mm thick paper, and Postal Cards with the paid reply, which consists of two simple postal cards folded over one another.

The Albanian Post offers a fast oversees delivery service called Super Express Mail (SEM), delivering within 24 hours for Europe destinations, and 48 hours for other countries (America, Canada, Asia, etc); as well as EMS (Express Mail Service)which ships items up to 20kg within 2-5 days in 200 destinations.

MAILBOXES – Most of the mails in Albania are delivered under the door. Only the newer apartment buildings have mailboxes at the main entrance.

POSTAGE STAMPS: Postage Stamps are only purchased at the post office while you are using the postal services, thus you cannot purchase them in advance anywhere else.

POSTE RESTANTE

Posta Restante of Tirana is located in Bulevardi Zogu I (Maliq Muco 46-3-8) / They only keep letters and not packages or boxes. They also rent out Post Office Boxes.

The PO Box cost 3600 Leke / year, adding to that the deposit for the key costing around 1500 Leke. Head to your nearest Post Office to get one. *Note: not all Post Offices have PO Boxes.
