Baldushk to Dorezi Fortress

Our trailhead is located in Fushas, about 17 km from Tirana (25 min drive), just before Baldushk village. This trail offers great views of farmland, hills, old villages while taking us towards Dorezi Fortress, one of the oldest Illyrian ruins in Tirana County, dating 9th century BC. The fortress is located about 5 km east of Peza village, and about 20km west of Tirana. This trail is well suited for everyone, be it experienced hikers or beginners. At the end of our hike, we could have lunch at a local traditional restaurant.

*Technical Info: Elevation 400m, a distance of 12 km, and a duration of approximately 4.5 hours make this a moderate trail. We start our hike around 9.30 am & estimate to complete it by 2.30 pm.  Lunch will be late so please bring a small snack/sandwich with you.

*What to Bring: Hiking shoes are highly recommended, a wind jacket, lightweight warm layer (for uphill), thicker warm layer for the downhill and level walk, warm hat, warm gloves, neck warmer, poles if you have them. Please also have with you some snacks: dried fruits, nuts, fresh fruit, a small sandwich as lunch will be around 3 pm. Must have 1 liter of water with you!
